Another post on love...

Amore.

Smitten.

In lurve.

That's me.

I'm a happy gal tonight.

Why you might ask?  You see I hate the hot weather.  HATE IT.  So much so that my favorite place is Maine.  Have you been to Maine?  This is what it looked like the first time I went.

Um yeah so back to my extreme dislike of heat... What's terrible is when you are hot at night.  That's awful.  I suppose it doesn't help all that much that I sleep with a down comforter {also not so good for my allergies but I digress}.  I love my comforter and with it being so old it's worn in and perfect.  But in the summer it's just too dang hot to use it.  And it doesn't feel right to just sleep with a sheet either.

Soooo I've been meaning to pick up a fan for my room for a while now {I have a ceiling fan, but my room is what used to be the garage and it's huge and the poor fan even on high doesn't seem to make a dent in there.  I also have two a/c vents going in there and my ac is on 71 but again it doesn't seem to make a dent.  When you walk in my room from the living room the warm air literally hits you in the face!}

I finally remembered tonight when I was at- let's all say it together- Target!  There was a whole row of different fans for me to choose from.  Did I want a box fan?  I seem to recall those working pretty well...

Did I want a desktop fan?  I could put it on my headboard and just aim it at me....

Did I want a stand fan?  That seemed to be more of what I was looking for..

Then next to the stand fans were the tower fans.  I had no idea how my life was about to change.

I couldn't find the fans at first so I flagged down a redshirt {you know like the redcoats? LOL} and she showed me where they were.  She went off to find a window shade {for your car's front window, which they did NOT have, how rude!} and when she came back she must have seen me looking somewhat confused and she gave me her advice.  Box fan was ok, the desktop fan was not very effective for a large space, the stand fan was good, but the tower fan is numero uno.  Then she proceeded to do something very cool {haha, cool get it?}  She told me to go next door to Home Depot because they're usually $10 cheaper!  You don't have to tell me twice.

Once I got there and found their fan section I discovered they indeed did have a cheaper fan that was essentially the same.  However it did not come with a remote and you could not control the temperature.  I made a judgement call and went back to Target and got the other fan.  Thank you Target Red Card for saving me 5%.

I took that bad boy home {and passed the horrifying amount of junebugs awaiting me on my porch- GROSS!} and put it together. I've been lying in bed now for over an hour and I am frozen but it still feels oh so good.  This baby is amazing.  You can put it down to 60, which I did.  You can choose one of 7 different speeds {including a white noise speed which I like and might use if it ever is not hot here again}.  You can oscillate it.  You can even set a timer but I think I need it cool all day and night.

This will be me tonight-

Two posts in two days about love.  And neither of them having to do with people.  Hmmmm.....
